Shipping Information

Bays Family Beef strives to provide quality Angus beef directly from our pastures to your door. Our products are individually vacuum sealed and frozen to preserve our beef during transit. Your beef will be packed in enough dry ice or freezer packs to keep it at the desired temperature, and packed into our reusable, highly insulated liners. These liners are then placed in corrugated boxes to provide additional protection for your items. Larger volumes of meat do ship better than smaller volumes. Therefore we recommend placing a minimum order of at least 8 pounds of beef, especially during the warmer months. 

Currently we ship our beef every Monday and Tuesday to ensure delivery by the end of the week. Excluding all major holidays and/or major delays due to weather. Orders placed after 4pm Tuesday will ship the following week, unless you chose the next day air shipping option. 

Packages are shipped via ground services unless expedited shipping is chosen at checkout. Unfortunately we cannot deliver to PO Boxes, so all shipments must require a valid street address. 

Once your order is placed you'll receive an email with an invoice, tracking number, and expected date of delivery. All perishable products will ship UPS. Non-perishable products purchased from Bays Family Beef will be placed in the mail within 1-3 business days after your order is placed. 

We are currently only shipping to the continuous United States. We do not ship internationally. 

We ship UPS Ground to customers that choose that option. Below is a rough estimate of UPS Ground shipping from Virginia. This schedule is provided to offer an estimate and is not a guarantee of delivery times. Please refer to the order confirmation email that contains your UPS tracking number for a more precise delivery date.

To ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition, our beef is shipped in an corrugated box with an insulating liner, and either dry ice or ice packs. We aim for all of our beef to arrive frozen, but please be aware that some thawing may occur. If your beef doesn't feel cool to the touch (below 40 degrees F measured with a food thermometer) please email us at baysfamilybeef@gmail.com within 24 hours. A description of the issue along with photos of the state it was received in will be helpful in resolving any issues. Please do not consume suspect food. We want you to be happy with your purchase, and will work with you to see that you are satisfied. This may include replacement of the product in question, credit towards a future order, or a partial/full refund.
